The loss of someone you love. Perhaps you’re wondering who you are now and how you’re supposed to go on without them.
The end of a relationship. You may be feeling lost without the
partnership or with the disruption of traditions, financial security, and the future you thought you were going to have.
A health issue or serious diagnosis. You could be grieving the person you were before your health changed and struggling to accept the life you now have.
Retirement or an unexpected job loss. Without the routine or sense of purpose, you may be feeling unbalanced and directionless.
Estrangement from family or friends. Feeling sad and confused, you could be missing your people and wondering what you did wrong.
Your children growing up and leaving home. Who are you if you aren’t the parent you used to be?
Realizing your life isn't what you thought it would be. You may be thinking, “Is this it? There has to be more!”
Recognizing you've lived your life for everyone else. You’ve been there, helping, caring, and fixing, and now you’re wondering, “What about me? When is it my turn?”

I feel like I’m never going to be happy again.
I can barely make it through the day. I’m just going through the motions.
I want my mind to stop going a million miles an hour.
I want to stop replaying what happened over and over in my head.
I’ll never feel better.
I just want to run away.
I don’t know what’s wrong with me.
I don’t know who I am anymore.
I want to feel normal again.

You’ve tried to stay busy.
You’ve tried to be positive and strong.
You’ve tried to practice self-care, take a walk, or exercise.
Maybe you’ve journaled, meditated, read the books, or leaned on friends and family.

I created Finding Yourself After Loss because I know how disorienting it can be when life changes in ways you may or may not have expected.
- After years of living for everyone else, keeping them happy as I attempted to conform to unwritten, invisible rules that told me who to be and how I should live, I woke up one day and realized I had no idea who I was or what I wanted out of life.
I felt the loss of years, the wasted time where I’d coped with a fear of others judgment by becoming a perfectionist people-pleasing, stressed-out control-freak. I was strangely sad. I realized I’d missed out on a life that could have been more fun or meaningful.
- When my brother died at 16, the loss reverberated through my family. How do we go on without him? Who was I now as a sister or daughter?
- Various losses continued over the years - the loss of my father, the ending of a relationship, the friends who died too soon…With each one, I felt lost and unbalanced as I attempted to move forward.
- And then a close friend had a cancer diagnosis. As she navigated this extremely difficult time, we talked about the loss of who she used to be, what could help her get through the fear and uncertainty, and how to embrace a new identity, one with an emphasis on joy and meaning.
The more I talked to her, I realized I’d created a path that I’d been subconsciously using to handle losses, distressing circumstances, or troubling situations.
It helped me reclaim myself, not the old me, but the new me I was becoming. The new me that had a life I loved, with more peace and joy.
I’ve since shared this path and its transformative steps with my podcast listeners, workshop participants, and coaching and mediumship clients, and watched their lives change!
This path can work for everyone…no matter what loss or life change you’re experiencing!
Healing isn't about returning to the person you were before your loss.
Sometimes, healing is about becoming someone new.
Someone who understands herself more deeply.
Someone who knows what matters now.
Someone who can make choices based on who she is today, not who she used to be or who others expect her to be.
Someone who can begin to feel hopeful about the future again.

You can make decisions without constantly second-guessing yourself.
You aren't spending so much energy wishing things were different.
You can think about the past without being consumed by it.
You can remember what you've lost without feeling like you've lost yourself, too.

Finding Yourself After Loss is a LIVE, four-week online experience designed to help you break free from the heaviness of feeling sad, lost, overwhelmed, or hopeless, and move toward greater clarity, peace, hope, and possibility.
Inside this class, I'll guide you through the HOPE Action Plan™, a simple four-step process to help you honor your past, make peace with the life that was, and embrace the possibilities that still lie ahead.
Within 30 days, you’ll awaken to the person you’re becoming so you can intentionally create your next chapter.
You can’t change what you’ve lost, but you can choose who you become next.
You'll discover how to make room for joy, excitement, and new possibilities while honoring who or what you’ve lost.
You'll learn how to start living again without feeling guilty for being happy.
You’ll discover who you’re becoming and what matters most.
And you'll begin to create a life that feels like yours, the life where you can be happy about what is happening now without feeling like you’re saying what happened before didn’t matter.

For over 25 years, I’ve been guiding people back to themselves, helping them realize they’re amazing and deserve a happy, meaningful life.
Through my book, Courageously You, coaching groups, podcasts, and presentations across the country, I’ve helped people through loss, grief, and challenging circumstances, always answering the question, “Who am I now and how can I create a life I love?”
In addition to being a coach and teacher, I’m a medium and have a unique perspective on loss that is shaped by the information our spirit people and guides want to share with us on how to live our best lives. Clients tell me these inspired, channeled insights and suggestions give them hope and more clarity toward their next steps.
My passion is helping you through your losses and challenges, awakening you to hope, joy, and possibility, while still honoring who or what, you’ve lost.
The loss is part of your story.
But it doesn't have to write the rest of it.
There can be a future you actually want to wake up to…one with more peace, purpose, laughter, and love.
It's time to discover who you’re becoming…and begin to create the life you’ll love.

“I lost track of myself…everything seemed pointless and impossible. If you aren’t feeling like yourself anymore, feeling hopeless and unclear — having Colleen as your coach is just what you need to get back into the game of living a more fulfilling life!”

“The grief workshop was one of the best things I’ve ever done for myself, and I am grateful to you.”
“Working with Colleen really helped me understand, on a far deeper level than ever before, what is truly important to me and how I want to live my life. I see doors opening all around me and am excited about the journey ahead! I’m a changed person – it’s incredible.”

“I feel like the coaching shot me out of a cannon to move through to the next level of my life that I would not have been able to get to on my own. The results are unbelievable. This is one of the most important things I have done for myself.”
No. Life transitions like divorce, retirement, empty nest, illness, job loss, estrangement, or realizing the life they imagined isn't going to happen, frequently involve feelings of loss.
Loss isn’t just about who or what is gone. It’s also about your identity, who you were before everything changed and how life used to be. We’re going explore who you are now and who you’re becoming.
There’s a part of you that wants more – more peace, joy, and fun. (If you didn’t have that part, you wouldn’t be reading this page!) That part doesn’t want you to settle for less than your best life.
It wants to reignite hope that even though you’ve had a loss, it is still possible to move forward and create a life you love. This class will strengthen your hope through the HOPE Action Plan™ as you connect to the person you’re becoming.
The past is important and we’re not going to forget it! We’re going to integrate and honor the past – your loss – realizing how important it is to who you are now and who you’re becoming. We can love the life we used to have AND we can be sad that we no longer have it…AND we can decide that it’s OK to want a life we love and then give ourselves permission to create it.
Absolutely not. The focus is on understanding where you are now, exploring where you want to go, and who you’re becoming as you integrate your loss. For those who have questions or want guidance, there will be opportunities to submit them by email. You can share your story there if you feel led to do so. Answers will be given in upcoming classes without identifying who asked the question.
As you acknowledge what you’ve experienced and where you are now, emotions may naturally arise. However, the intention of the class is not about replaying the past – it’s about moving forward, toward acceptance, possibility, hope, and more joy. .
Finding Yourself After Loss isn’t primarily about processing what happened…it’s about discovering who you’re becoming and what kind of life you want to have. Loss and grief can be tricky. It may have been some time since your loss and you think you’re through it, and then something happens and you’re back to feeling lost and sad. This class will give you practical tools that will guide you as you continue to move forward. .
You don’t need to know the answers before you begin. We’re going to create space for you to acknowledge and accept where you are right now and then allow yourself to explore and awaken into the person you’re becoming.
Moving forward can seem like you’re discounting or minimizing the past, like you’re leaving the love, purpose, or meaning behind. I promise you; you don’t leave it behind – you’ll integrate it, recognizing its value and honoring what was while making room for what can be.
You may not be able to magically change every external circumstance, but you can change your perspectives, thoughts, beliefs, and behaviors, and this alone can begin to transform your life! You have the power to go in a new direction, and YOU get to decide which direction that is.
